International Management (BA)

Über das Programm

This programme enables students to work in in all areas of companies or organisations that operate at an international level. The course contents provide a practice-oriented and scientifically sound management education. Students are trained in major business subjects and specialise in different fields of International Management and Economics. The programme is designed to develop globally-minded problem solvers who can analyse complex and fast changing environments and are capable of making responsible decisions for the benefit of tomorrow's businesses and society. The acquired knowledge, skills, and competences qualify graduates for junior management positions in consulting firms and in industrial and service firms with an international scope. Alternatively, graduates have the option to proceed to a Master's programme at home or abroad. Lectures are held in small international, intercultural groups. Students spend their fourth or fifth semester abroad at one of our over 100 partner universities worldwide. There are double-degree options at selected universities. The Faculty of Business Management and Social Sciences is a member of EFMD Global – a network of business schools and corporations dedicated to enhancing excellence in management education and development globally. The Bachelor's programme in International Management strives for international accreditation and is successfully undergoing the relevant procedure. Characteristic modules are: Business Management: Marketing, Production, Logistics and Procurement, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Financial Statements, Management Tools, Management Concepts, Cultural Management, Sustainable Value Creation, Applied Business Project Economics and Law: Micro- and Macroeconomics, International Economics, Legal Systems, European Law, Taxation Issues Quantitative Methods: Business Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Applied Data Research Key Qualifications: Academic Writing, Project Management including communication and negotiation skills, presentation and information techniques, time management, team work Foreign Languages: German, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese: all at different levels, plus optional extra courses in Polish Exercises in Knowledge Transfer: Projects, Block Seminars, Management Games, Study Trips Optional Specialisations: Digital Enterprise, Global Marketing, Finance and Control, International Human Resource Management, International Economy, International Logistics, International Event Management, Sustainability Management, Business Language For the students of International Management, our university exclusively offers an optional "Personal Development Journey“ throughout the course of the studies. Based on the concepts of mindfulness, students will be professionally accompanied in the development of personal and interpersonal competencies towards mindful leadership. The basic concept runs over three semesters with two full-day sessions and a follow-up of six one-hour online sessions per semester, and it can be continued for another three semesters with advanced modules.
