Law and Business

Master of Laws (L.L.M.)

Über das Programm

Bucerius Law School's English-taught Master of Law and Business (LL.M. / MLB) prepares young professionals for international careers in which an understanding of both legal and business concepts as well as intercultural skills are essential. The program is interdisciplinary and international, welcoming students from various academic and cultural backgrounds. It's primarily geared towards young professionals in legal and business fields but is also open to graduates of other disciplines with demonstrated interest in law and business. The innovative curriculum follows a company-lifecycle approach, oriented along the founding and development of an enterprise to illustrate the relationship between legal and business issues. The program consists of obligatory and elective modules, with students able to focus on two subject areas by choosing two out of eight electives. Specializations in arbitration or entrepreneurship are available. In addition to coursework, students complete a two-month internship, write a master's thesis, and participate in a social project. The program has a unique and innovative life cycle approach that examines the development of a business from inception to possible merger or restructuring. Rather than focusing on one legal system, it examines international instruments and compares national and international approaches. Business classes are taught by professors from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, one of Germany's leading business schools.
