The Bachelor's program first provides a general engineering, mathematical, and scientific education. Students learn to solve essential building problems and study foundation principles and soil mechanics in geotechnical engineering. The program includes international construction principles as well as national regulations and standards. Construction management teaches intensive knowledge about handling large construction projects including quality assurance and economic aspects. Environmental and scientific aspects are covered in urban water management and hydraulic engineering modules. The program has an international orientation to help students address environmental problems in their countries. Graduates have numerous employment opportunities both nationally and internationally, particularly in the currently flourishing building construction sector in foreign metropolises and in environmental technology.
