Language skills for your studies – discover and experience Leipzig The Academic Life in Leipzig autumn course combines intensive German lessons with exciting insights into Leipzig as a centre of science and higher education. This course is ideal for anyone looking to improve their language skills while gaining first-hand experience of academic life in Germany. Learn German – intensively and individually Online placement test before the start of the course and personal oral assessment at the start  Learn in small groups (approx. 14 participants) – from level A1 to C1  Approx. 25 lessons per week, including phonetics training in individual or small group sessions  Modern textbook (included in the course fee), up-to-date materials, and access to the Moodle learning platform  Modules on academic speaking and writing  Practical explorations on the topic of "Studying and researching in Leipzig" – in cooperation with Leipzig universities and research institutions  Written and oral final exam  Acquisition of five ECTS points possible (can be credited at the home university)  Certificate of participation with documented test results Experience Germany – culture and everyday life up close Interactive cultural events with a focus on real-life regional studies – e.g. research and interviews on site City walks and exploratory tours in and around Leipzig Visits to research institutions in Leipzig  One full-day excursion  Personal support from the course team  Further optional offers (e.g. weekend excursions to Dresden or Weimar)
