About the Program

The Additional Pedagogical Training enables the acquisition of a teaching qualification and is open to all students who are not studying instrumental subjects / voice in the Bachelor's degree programme (e.g. school musician, Bachelor with HF Conducting or Opera Singing, Master or soloist exam). It is not a separate degree programme but requires enrollment for at least 3 semesters in the main course of study at the Karlsruhe University of Music. The training comprises Pedagogy (2 semesters), Subject methodology (3 semesters, 4 for HF singing), Teaching rehearsals (2 semesters), and Teaching practice at a specific music school. A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
