About the Program

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a key technology with far-reaching effects on our society. The Bachelor's degree programme in Artificial Intelligence aims to train experts who understand the strengths, weaknesses and potential of AI, transfer this knowledge to society and strengthen the region's competitiveness. The program enables students to understand, classify and implement current research results in AI. It provides a solid foundation in computer science and mathematics, with numerous practical modules. The degree has a strong focus on AI modules, particularly in machine learning. Students are also introduced to ethical aspects of AI and sustainability of AI solutions. The program comprises six theoretical semesters and one practical semester. In the first year, students receive an introduction to AI and the basics of computer science, mathematics and data science. The second stage delves deeper into various AI specialisms with both core subjects and options for specific application areas. In the third and fourth semesters, students study extended modules covering machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, ethics of AI, and algorithms and data structures. The fifth semester includes an 80-day industry internship with accompanying university courses. In the final two semesters, students choose elective modules from advanced AI applications such as robotics, medicine or autonomous driving.
