About the Program

The study program focuses on the English language as well as the cultures and literatures of English-speaking regions. This includes historical and contemporary contexts and their representation in various media (books, magazines, music, comics, film, and TV). The qualification goal of the study is to provide well-founded knowledge in these areas. The specialization options in the regional focus areas 'Great Britain', 'USA', or 'other Anglophone regions' are intended to enable a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the language and culture of an Anglophone region in addition to the well-founded basic knowledge in the above areas. The courses are generally held in English.
