About the Program

Special emphasis is placed on cell and molecular biology, human biology, genetics, microbiology, and modern analytical techniques. Training includes state-of-the-art methodologies typically delivered in small group settings. All laboratories are equipped to a high standard. In the third year of study, students can choose from a number of elective courses, engage in practical studies, and conduct research across various scientific disciplines. The teaching language is English, and completion of the programme requires 180 ECTS. The BSc Applied Biology programme offers a mobility window in the fifth and/or sixth semester. Students are strongly encouraged to spend one or two semesters at a partner university. Some of the department's partner universities even offer dual degrees for students.
