About the Program

Border Studies is a cooperative master's program within the University of the Greater Region. The multilingual courses take place at four partner universities in the Greater Region. Students study in a multicultural and multilingual environment, which is of great importance for their future careers. The interdisciplinary study program is based on close and long-standing cooperation between the partner universities. Thanks to the mandatory internship, students get a better overview of their career prospects. Upon successful completion, they receive a certificate jointly issued by the four universities. The program is recognized and supported by the Franco-German University, which may provide mobility grants to students. The program includes a two-year full-time curriculum (120 ECTS) with semesters at different partner universities focusing on border regions from spatial/geographical, linguistic, cultural, and sociological perspectives.
