Business Administration and Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

About the Program

Business Administration and Engineering is a program that prepares students to be intermediaries between business administration and technology. The program covers everything an industrial engineer needs to know about business and technology, while also developing teamwork abilities and leadership competence. Students can choose their own personal direction through the selection of a professional field orientation (e.g. Logistics Management or Change Management) and a technical field of study. After the second semester, students select a field of study from Automation Technology, Renewable Energy, or International Business Administration and Engineering. The program includes foundation courses in Mathematics/Statistics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Fundamentals of Informatics, Programming, Fundamentals of Economics, English, and Soft Skills. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, practical laboratory sessions, excursions, tutorials, simulations, group work and presentations. The program has a high percentage of practical sessions such as laboratory work, exercises and team projects. Students work in modern laboratories on tasks which, in some cases, have been set by real companies. There is also the possibility of an integrated semester studying abroad at partner universities in Ireland, Estonia, Spain or New Zealand, or obtaining a double degree with Tongji University in Shanghai.
