About the Program

Business Informatics is a program that prepares students to work at the interface between different worlds and create solutions that connect people, technologies and business processes. The program covers Informatics (Programming, Introduction to Business Informatics, Internet Technologies, Operational Models and Standard Software, Database Management Systems), Business (Introduction to Business Administration, Accounting and Company Financing, Managerial Accounting, Company Management, Personnel Management, Organisation, Logistics Management, Marketing), Management Skills (Presentation Techniques, Rhetoric, Text Competence, Moderation, Leadership Competence as well as Mathematics and Statistics), and Languages (English). The program includes a work placement semester which can alternatively be used to study abroad. Graduates work in positions such as Consultant, Project Leader, Project Manager for IT projects, Specialist for application systems, Programmer of business applications, IT Controller, and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
