Business Information Systems

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

The Master of Science in Business Information Systems is designed to teach students the theories, concepts, models, methods, and tools necessary for the analysis, design, and use of information systems in business and economic contexts. Business Information Systems is an interdisciplinary subject and as such requires skills and abilities in related fields of business and computer science. These will be taught in the course of the programme. Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of skills in risk management and customer relationship management, as businesses frequently use intelligent systems based on comprehensive databases to aid them in decision-making in these areas. Students will learn to analyse, design, and use information systems in business contexts and to advise other users -- particularly in international, interdisciplinary projects. This programme goes far beyond the technical level and teaches students to think outside the box, thus equipping them to lead IT projects.
