About the Program

Catholic theology is the science of the Christian faith. At the heart of the course is the argumentative examination of the phenomena of religion and faith, the biblical Judeo-Christian tradition, the history of Christianity and Christian practice in society, church and school, as well as interreligious issues. Research focuses on Jewish-Christian dialogue, biblical hermeneutics, ecumenical theology, bioethics, religious socialization, upbringing and education, religious development in the second half of life and selected fields of religious didactics.
