About the Program

Comparative Public Governance is a double degree programme offered jointly by the University of Münster and the University of Twente. Graduates will hold two diplomas: a one-year Master of Science (MSc) degree in European Studies from Twente University and a two-year Master of Arts (MA) degree in Comparative Public Governance from Münster University. The programme is structured across four semesters: The first semester at University of Twente focuses on designing solutions for global and European challenges, introducing key concepts of comparative public governance and legal frameworks. The second semester at University of Münster builds on this foundation, addressing specific political processes in public governance from both top-down (political steering) and bottom-up (political participation) perspectives. The third semester offers students flexibility to broaden their knowledge through an Erasmus exchange semester or a combination of internship and elective courses in Münster.
