About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Computational Linguistics (CL) focuses primarily on the machine processing of natural language. This includes AI language models and other machine learning models, as well as formally precise grammar representations that describe and explain language properties. The program teaches both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. In the introductory phase, students acquire basic knowledge in linguistics, logic and computer science. From the third semester onwards, students delve deeper into more complex areas of computational linguistics, implementing programming projects and developing solutions for specific computational linguistic tasks. The program concludes with a Bachelor's thesis. Programming skills are not a prerequisite and are taught as part of the basic modules.
