Cultural Management

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The Bachelor's program Cultural Management (Kulturwirt) is an interdisciplinary practice-oriented program following the ECTS system (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), which combines coordinated studies of humanities and economics. In addition to providing key business qualifications and fundamentals, the study of humanities subjects within the Cultural Management program ensures a systematic and critical understanding of the most important non-German EU cultural areas, and it enables students to analyze texts and facts in a manner that is both subject-oriented and methodologically sound. The business-oriented economic part of the study offers scientific training in sub-areas of business administration, such as accounting, financial statements, investment and financing, business informatics, marketing, human resources, etc. Additionally, the courses of the economics module from the Faculty of Business Administration are mandatory in the supplementary area E2. Besides the inherent interdisciplinarity in the Cultural Management program through the connection of language, culture, and economics, the supplementary area (E-area) enables the acquisition of further interdisciplinary key competencies.
