About the Program

In the Programme Cyber Security, the security of computer systems and the security-compliant interaction with them are researched. Both technical and organisational security aspects of computer systems are analysed, measures for attack detection and mitigation are developed, and the human factors in security-compliant software development and system operation are researched. The degree programme consists of comprehensive training in subject-specific methods and tools of Cyber Security as well as selected contents of classical Computer Science. Optional interdisciplinary research approaches are possible through modules from areas outside the subject. Possible career paths include IT security consulting, IT security analysis, IT security expert in a CERT, and academia.
