About the Program

The aim of the study programme of dentistry is the dentist who is scientifically and practically trained in dentistry. He or she is qualified to practise dentistry independently and on his or her own responsibility, to undergo further training and continuous further education. The program teaches basic knowledge, skills and abilities in all subjects required for the dental care of the population. It includes basic medical knowledge, aspects of medical attitude and conversation, knowledge about health and illness, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic and preventive concepts in the dental, oral and maxillofacial region. Simulation courses ("phantom courses") and clinical courses on patients provide students with opportunities to practice practical skills in dental diagnosis and treatment.
