About the Program

The Diaconia Advanced Qualification with church degree is an established continuing education program at the Protestant University of Hamburg. Since the winter semester 2025, this qualification has been open to students and graduates from other universities and degree programs - revised, practice-oriented and designed for working professionals. The qualification imparts theological, religious education, and pastoral care competencies for work as a deacon with a church degree.
