About the Program

In cooperation with the Thuringian Ministry of Finance and with the support of Thuringia's leading municipal associations, the practice-integrated Bachelor's degree course in Administrative Informatics / E-Government trains specialists and managers for the digitalization of public administration. The six-semester interdisciplinary course, which is offered jointly by the Faculties of Business Law and Computer Science, includes subjects from the fields of administrative science, law and computer science. The aim is to qualify graduates for the current tasks of federal, state and local administrations and the necessary holistic view of an administration at strategy, process and system level. The course is supplemented by extended practical phases. Students can study according to the study and practice+ model with a permanent cooperation partner from the administration, but also with a cooperation partner from the business world, such as software development companies or consulting firms, as well as without a cooperation partner.
