About the Program

Eastern European Studies is a two-year, interdisciplinary master's program with courses in three subject areas 1) History and Social Anthropology; 2) Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; and 3) Law, Business and Economics. All students complete a course in research methods, a two-semester project course, a summer school in Eastern Europe, an internship, and intensive language training. The program is offered as part of the Elite Network of Bavaria in cooperation with the LMU Munich. Students beginning in the same year complete the research methods course, the project course and the summer school together at both universities.
