About the Program

The Master of Education Programme (Hauptschule and Realschule) lasts for four semesters and is a continuation of your teaching qualification. This master's degree programme teaches comprehensive education science and practical teaching skills for education in Hauptschule and Realschule. You will broaden your curricular knowledge in both teaching subjects chosen. The Master's degree is a prerequisite for teacher training (Referendariat). On successfully completing your teacher training and passing the second state examination, you will be qualified to teach in schools. This programme follows a Dual-Subject Bachelor's Programme where students study two school subjects for three years before proceeding to this two-year Master's programme.
