About the Program

The dual Master of Education program for Regelschule (secondary schools) follows the dual Bachelor of Education program starting from winter semester 2028/29. It offers an application-oriented, scientific professional qualification for teaching at a Regelschule in the subjects German, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Economics/Technology. Students acquire knowledge about the social framework conditions of schools, teaching and professional action, the design of teaching and learning processes, and the development and promotion of individual educational processes. The program is structured into educational science modules and school practice for subjects 1 and 2, both at the university and at the training school, for which a study contract with the Free State of Thuringia has been concluded. The program is designed for a study period of two semesters and can only be started in the winter semester.
