Electrical Engineering, Business Administration and Economics - Dual Programme

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

About the Program

This is a dual study program combining Electrical Engineering with Business Administration and Economics. The program offers an optimum combination of theory and practice as well as technology and business. The program is offered in two variants: WEIT (standard program with 7 semesters) and WEITiP (practice-integrated with 9 semesters). The WEITiP variant includes two practical semesters (typically the 3rd and 6th semesters) in a cooperating company, which can be either training-integrated (including a commercial apprenticeship) or practice-integrated (with extensive practical phases). The curriculum consists of approximately 2/3 technical content (electrical engineering, computer engineering, digital technology, etc.) and 1/3 commercial content (business management, marketing, accounting, etc.). Students gain competencies in both technical and business fields, enabling them to bridge the gap between technical development teams and commercial departments in industry. The program includes a basic study period (Grundstudium) of 87 LP and a main study period (Hauptstudium) of 123 LP, with a total of 210 credit points. The curriculum includes modules in electrical engineering fundamentals, business administration, marketing, accounting, mathematics, digital technology, computer engineering, measurement technology, electronic components and circuits, control engineering, and various elective modules.
