Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

The environmental sector is booming, and in-depth knowledge of the links between technical, economic and ecological contexts is becoming increasingly important. Students can specialize in two of the following areas: Waste and Resource Management, Hydrology and Materials Management, Urban Water Management, Water Management/Hydraulic Engineering, Transport and Environment and Renewable Energies. The course is aimed at students who are interested in civil engineering systems from a scientific perspective and would like to play an active role in environmental protection by contributing to sustainable developments in infrastructure and civil engineering. Students will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of modeling techniques and to work on issues relating to energy and environmental policy or project management in detail. The Master's degree entitles graduates to a doctorate. Unique in Germany is the opportunity to acquire an "Environmental Knowledge Certificate" at the Graduate Center for Environmental Research and Teaching at the University of Kassel while studying.
