About the Program

The research-oriented Master's program in Environmental Engineering addresses key questions about the sustainable use of our environment and combines environmental analytical knowledge, engineering methodological expertise, and qualifications for planning and operating buildings and facilities. The program structure allows for either a broad generalist education or specialization in individual fields depending on interests. These include geoinformatics, circular economy, renewable energy technology, coastal and flood protection, urban water management, and spatial and transport planning. Students are enabled to actively contribute to solving future-oriented complex environmental tasks and to develop and use suitable engineering approaches. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge, key competencies are taught that enable students to develop profiles for research, scientific and advisory activities, as well as management of companies in the environmental sector. The program is also oriented towards the international job market through an offering of English-language modules.
