About the Program

The Master of Science in Epidemiology provides education and training in epidemiologic research methods, study design and data analysis. The program has a methods and research focus. A total of 10 modules (courses) must be completed: five core methods modules, three advanced elective modules, a research project and a written master's thesis including an oral defense. Graduates take on research positions at universities, government agencies, and public health institutions to plan, implement, evaluate and publish epidemiological research.
