About the Program

The B.A. European Studies is an international, interdisciplinary, multilingual and customisable program. Students place two foci on social and cultural disciplines that deal with Europe, specialize in one European cultural region and two foreign languages, and deal with European topics from multiple disciplinary perspectives. The program includes a compulsory study visit abroad and helps students acquire intercultural skills. The degree program comprises four module areas: European introductory modules, European cultural studies, European social sciences, and European languages and praxis. Students can choose their cultural area focus (English studies, French Romance studies, Spanish studies, or Slavic studies) and a social science perspective (history, sociology, political science, geography, art history, or philosophy). Students also study two foreign languages from a selection of nine European languages.
