About the Program

In its eventful history, French has become one of the most important cultural, literary, and economic languages and today has a key communicative function not only in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the EU, but also in Canada, in the French overseas territories in the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Oceania, as well as in several African states. The aim of the partial degree program Frankoromanistik (90 LP) is an intensive scientific introduction to the basics, specifics, and diversity of the French language, Francophone cultures, and literatures.
