About the Program

Computer, video and mobile games are the medium of the future. As a game designer, you'll create innovative game mechanics and shape game narratives. At the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), you'll have the unique opportunity to put together your own combination of game design, development and art. The program focuses on the development and creation of innovative and experimental games. Students receive an overview of the business, culture, and markets surrounding computer games, from AAA to indie games and experimental formats. The curriculum is structured over 6 semesters (180 ECTS) and includes courses in Game Development, Game & Play, Art for Games, Tools & Technologies, as well as theoretical components. The program progresses through foundation projects to specialized game design courses, culminating in a BA Thesis in the final semester.
