About the Program

The MBA in General Management is a berufsbegleitendes (part-time) master's program that prepares students for future leadership roles. The program combines self-study phases with on-campus presence at HSW. Students attend classes at HSW every two to three weeks on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, while continuing their professional careers. The program focuses on developing management-relevant business competencies, communication skills, and abilities in self-management, team management, and conflict management. The program is taught in small groups of up to 30 students from various professional backgrounds. Highlights include a personal coaching module with personality assessment (BIP), a two-week study visit at Queens University in Charlotte (North Carolina, USA), and the option to specialize in one of six focus areas: Corporate Finance and Controlling, IT Management and Digital Transformation, Marketing and Sales, Sustainable Business Management, Strategic Business Management and Entrepreneurship, or Business Psychology.
