About the Program

The master's programme is offered jointly by the Herder Institute and the German Department of the Universidade Federal do Paraná in Curitiba, Brazil. It combines the strength of both participating partners: Linguistics and applied linguistics, didactics, cultural studies and test research (Leipzig) with intercultural literary studies, intercultural translation studies and contrastive cultural studies (Curitiba). The four-semester master's programme requires students to complete two semesters at Leipzig University and two semesters at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) in Curitiba.
