About the Program

German-Czech Studies is a bi-national interdisciplinary bachelor's degree program anchored in the cultural and social sciences. It spans 6 semesters and is offered in cooperation with Charles University in Prague. German students do not need any prior knowledge of Czech to begin the program. Both German and Czech students spend their first year of study at their home university. They all spend the second year together at Charles University in Prague. All students then spend the third and final year together in Regensburg. The interdisciplinary program prepares students for relevant master's degree programs in accordance with their specializations. Special features include Dual Bachelor of Arts, academic year at Charles University in Prague as an integral part of program, three-month internship integrated into course of study, acquisition of Czech language competency up to UNIcert level four (C1/2).
