Germanistik aus deutsch-französischer Perspektive

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

German Studies looks at more than what you know from German at school. The research content of German Studies includes the rules of language and communication, structures of literature and their cultural contexts, variations and developments over the course of linguistic and literary history, and of course the theories and methods with which one can analyze this. For German Studies, you must be willing to read intensively, analyze language and literature, discuss this and formulate statements precisely. As well as good language skills, you need an enthusiasm for language and literature. In addition to the typical German Studies topics, on the 'German Studies from a German-French perspective' degree program you will consider German Studies in France, the focal points of French German Studies in research and how the French see German cultural history. In addition to learning the fundamentals of German studies you will also gain extensive intercultural skills.
