About the Program

The 'Gestaltung' module accompanies students over several semesters and forms the centerpiece of design education at the Lazi Academy. It introduces students step by step to the world of visual communication - from elementary basics to developing a personal, professional visual style. In this module, design is not understood as pure aesthetics, but as a conscious, functional and conceptual form of communication. Students learn how images, shapes, colors and compositions create messages and trigger emotions. They develop a deep understanding of how visual strategies work, how perception is controlled and how creative ideas can be translated into strong design solutions. With increasing experience, they expand their design vocabulary, sharpen their perception and build a personal visual identity. The learning path includes four major development stages that build logically on each other: First, the basics are internalized - point, line, surface, form, format and grid. Students learn how visual hierarchies emerge, what role the golden ratio plays, how composition works and why design laws serve as a basis for intuitive orientation. This early phase trains perception, sensitizes to visual order and imparts the ability to view design analytically and control it consciously.
