About the Program

The Master's programme Global Challenges for Sustainability is a transdisciplinary approach to global sustainability challenges. Students learn to approach real challenges from different stakeholder and intercultural perspectives, gain advanced innovative knowledge, and boost research, entrepreneurial and creative skills. The program is initiated by CHARM-EU, an alliance of nine prestigious research-based universities. The study track consists of four phases over 2 years (120 ECTS). The first year introduces sustainability, social innovation, and transdisciplinary research, followed by in-depth modules in thematic tracks: Water, Life and Health, Food, and Energy and Sustainable Cities. The second year includes an internship and a capstone challenge addressing authentic sustainability issues with fellow students, scientists, and external partners.
