About the Program

The Heritage Studies doctoral study programme offers an interdisciplinary, structured programme spanning the humanities, social sciences and engineering and is open to both national and international doctoral students. The research areas cover different facets of cultural heritage. The programme is embedded in the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning and is a structured three-year full-time programme. During this period of study and research, doctoral students attend study-related modules and complete a scientific thesis. Doctoral students conduct individual research in the fields of heritage conservation and management, architectural history, urban and regional planning or civil engineering, while being integrated into an international and interdisciplinary group of doctoral students and researchers.
