About the Program

Hindi, together with English, is the official language of the Indian Union and one of the most widely spoken native languages in the world. The main focus of the Hindi program is to convey passive mastery of the language to enable students to use relevant sources for research and application. After successful completion of the minor in Hindi, students are able to read texts in this language of intermediate difficulty with the aid of a dictionary. This subject must be combined with a second subject.
