About the Program

Studying History means not only being interested in the past - students of History analyze and interpret the past to orient themselves in the present and acquire knowledge necessary for the future. History has little to do with dusty old facts and rigid factual knowledge. The program provides foundational knowledge about historical epochs and takes a cross-disciplinary cultural studies approach to phenomena that span across epochs. Interdisciplinary collaboration within cultural studies opens up possibilities for researching complex fields such as media, gender, historical culture, and migration processes. No Latin knowledge is required for this program.
