About the Program

German engineering enjoys a good reputation worldwide. From cars to machines to electrical appliances: the manufacturing industry is one of the most important sectors of our country's economy. Industrial engineers are largely responsible for the development of these products. They have both technical and business knowledge and take into account not only quality and functionality, but also the manufacturing costs and sales opportunities of goods. In companies, they act as an important interface between the various departments. They communicate, coordinate and manage processes in coordination with specialists and managers from the technical and commercial areas. In the industrial engineering degree program, you will be trained equally in engineering and in economics. In the engineering part, you will learn the basics of technical mechanics, computer science or manufacturing technology. In the course of your studies, you can specialize in either mechanical or electrical engineering. Among other things, you will learn how a car chassis is constructed or how electric motors work. In economics and law, you will be trained primarily in business administration. You will learn how a company is managed and how products are marketed. You also have the opportunity to take a closer look at innovation or project management. The program includes a basic internship of 6 weeks and a specialist internship of 12 weeks in the 6th semester.
