About the Program

Industrial Science involves the interdisciplinary analysis of labour, including the associated social and organisational framework conditions. Emphasis is placed on the development of scientifically based concepts for designing work with people in mind. A distinguishing feature of this degree programme is that students gain a broad understanding of industrial science, taking special account of approaches in human resources management, leadership and organisational research. Students learn how to initiate and advise on change processes involving the design of work with people and their health in mind. The part-time Master's degree programme in Industrial Science is designed for people who wish to expand on the knowledge gained at the Bachelor's level. Students have already completed a degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. Business Administration, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering Science, Psychology, Education or Law) and are usually in employment. They strive for a position in areas such as work organisation, human resources management or health management, or would like to gain the qualifications required to take on a managerial function. Employment can be found in private companies, non-profit organisations or consultancy firms.
