About the Program

The International Gender Studies program explores questions such as: What is gender? How is gender generated and what are the consequences for individuals and society? How does gender perception change in different cultural, social and historical contexts? How does gender relate to other social categories? How does social inequality arise? The program offers specialization in fields such as social inequalities, gender history, media studies, art history, cultural and literary studies, gender mainstreaming and diversity. It includes a mandatory internship and a mandatory study abroad semester in the 3rd semester.
