About the Program

The International Master's Programme in Landscape Architecture (IMLA) is organised jointly by two higher education institutions: Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences (Baden-Württemberg, Germany) and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Bavaria, Germany). The location of the programme alternates each year between Nürtingen and Freising. The program is divided into five practice-oriented subject areas: Projects, Planning and Design in Europe, Planning and Project Management, Information Technologies in Planning and Design, and Planning and Design Methods. It provides high-quality training aligned to labor market requirements. The program consists of 2 semesters of theoretical studies followed by a Master Thesis semester. For graduates without a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture, an additional practical study semester is required before the Master Thesis.
