Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The application-oriented B.Sc. Internet Computing programme offers a comprehensive education in computer science with a focus on internet technologies. Students deal particularly with networked systems and put their knowledge to use directly in a practical course. The degree programme includes an elective module that creates an interdisciplinary bridge to intelligent systems as well as other academic disciplines – business/economics, law, communication studies and social sciences. In the computer science modules, students learn to design, develop and maintain internet-based systems and web-based information systems. They also develop expertise in human-machine communication and learn how to analyze phenomena and threats arising from worldwide interconnectedness (e.g., social networks, IT security, internet crime). The program includes a software engineering project for application-oriented software development carried out as a team project over a full semester. Students choose one of three electives: 'Internet, economy and law', 'Social and legal aspects of internet computing', or 'Embedded and intelligent systems'.
