This program focuses on practical professionalization in music interpretation. It includes chamber and ensemble music, private lessons, seminars in contemporary instrumental and vocal techniques and in the history of new and contemporary music. Students develop skills for conceiving their own concert formats through collaborations with numerous partners such as Acht Brücken, the Education Department of the Philharmonie Köln, On Netzwerk Neue Musik, the Center for Contemporary Dance, and others. Students gain podium experience under professional conditions in performances with the ensemble ColLAB Cologne. The program aims to give special importance to the interpretation and mediation of New Music in the students' professional perspective.
