Kirchliche Komposition

Master of Music (M.Mus.)

About the Program

The Master's program in Church Composition builds on the knowledge and skills of a previous and artistically related bachelor's degree (such as BA Church Music, BA Conducting/Choral Conducting, etc.). The aim is to develop a self-reliant, individual, highly qualified personality with artistic stage presence and performance experience from musical talent. Graduates should be able to fulfill assigned musical-artistic tasks, develop and create program concepts independently. The study at HfKM Regensburg also enables students in the Composition program to perform composition-practical and subject-related conducting work in liturgy and concert, in supra-regional (dioceses, regions, deaneries) church education and general cultural work, for subject-related training and further education of part-time and full-time church musicians, for advising church committees on technical issues and for representation in public.
