About the Program

In the Master's program Concert (Vocal), students acquire the prerequisites to work successfully as professional concert singers in their professional life. In addition to developing a profound vocal technique, the focus is on art song, oratorio, concert, and vocal pedagogy. Students can deepen their interests in contemporary music (in cooperation with IzM) and/or historical performance practice (in cooperation with the HIP department). The training in the central subjects of singing, concert repertoire, art song interpretation, and pedagogy is complemented by a large elective area to deepen individual interests and abilities, which includes supporting events in self-management and movement/health. Work on internal and external artistic projects is a central component of the training. The program is particularly committed to networking teachers of all modules in the interest of students. Through different formats of team teaching and close exchange between teachers and students, personal and individual support of students should be achieved.
