About the Program

Focusing on both research and education, the MA programme in Language Diversity provides students with a profound understanding of human language as well as its cultural, regional, social and cognitive framework. In interdisciplinary and integrative courses as well as language and philology-based modules, students acquire advanced practical competence in several languages and learn to analyse intra-linguistic and extra-linguistic phenomena as well as their interdependencies in a theoretically and methodologically sound, deliberate, critical and creative manner. Additionally, students are equipped with the skills they need to develop and improve their intercultural sensitivity, decision-making and responsibility in order to better apply their knowledge and skills in the fields of academia, education, public relations, economics, culture and trade.
