About the Program

The certificate program "Lebenswelten verstehen und kommunizieren. Historisch-anthropologische Expertise für Museen" (Understanding and Communicating Lifeworlds. Historical-Anthropological Expertise for Museums) is a 40 ECTS additional qualification offered by the European Ethnology & Museology departments at the University of Würzburg. Starting from Winter semester 2022/23, it is available to BA and MA students in humanities/cultural sciences. The program is designed for students interested in qualifying for work in regional, city, and local history museums, as well as open-air, natural history, science, and similar museum types. It combines concepts of cultural studies research on cultures and natures with application-oriented and reflective museum research.
