About the Program

The Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) degree program at KIT provides students with skills to analyze complex topics in a scientifically sound way, understand cultural and historical backgrounds, weigh up arguments, communicate answers competently and contribute knowledge to politics, society and business. The program is ideal for those interested in interdisciplinary issues in science communication, historical analysis of contemporary topics, or transformation processes in energy, mobility and information technology. Students choose one of three majors: Science Communication, History of the Present, or Technology Assessment and Future Design, along with one of nine minors. The program includes a six-week professional internship and culminates with a bachelor's thesis.
